01 Regenerative agriculture research
Develop and support research, innovation, and extension programs that improve soil health, increase carbon sequestration, enhance biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, livestock production and boost long-term agricultural and productivity and sustainability across Northern Australia’s diverse farming, grazing, and natural resource landscapes.
02 Land Suitability & Due Diligence
(Policy & regulatory navigation) Work collaboratively with industry, landholders, Traditional Owners, and government agencies to navigate vegetation management, land use planning, environmental approvals, regulatory compliance, and project development processes, ensuring agricultural and resource projects are delivered efficiently, responsibly, and in accordance with legislative requirements. We provide expert testimony, with experience in Planning & Environment and Land Courts matters. Land Resource assessment for Good Quality Agricultural/Strategic Cropping Land. Advice for access agreements, compensation for mining, infrastructure projects including Phytoremediation. Vegetation mapping, flora surveys, trigger mapping and Property Maps of Assessable Vegetation (PMAV).
03 Pongamia and Bana grass Bioenergy Development
Promote Pongamia and Bana grass as a sustainable feedstock for renewable diesel, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), bio-based products, and carbon markets by developing pongamia and Bana grass production projects, commercialisation pathways, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities. Our flagship commercial initiative is being advanced through BioEnergy North, a large-scale renewable energy and agribusiness development company.

04 Agronomy and soil health
Bring together researchers, government agencies, Indigenous organisations, landholders, investors, and industry stakeholders to accelerate the development and adoption of sustainable agronomic practices that improve soil health, increase productivity, enhance environmental outcomes, and strengthen long-term agricultural resilience. Advisory for Field crops, sugar, Pongamia, Sunn Hemp, Tropical and sub-tropical pastures including multi-species, cover cropping and applied soil biology advice. Identification of physical or chemical constraints such as acidic soils, compaction, poor yielding areas and risk assessments on salinity, sodicity and erosion.
05 Regional economic growth
Attract investment into agricultural innovation, bioenergy infrastructure, and value-added processing that create jobs and strengthen regional communities. Project design and advisory across land suitability, soil carbon, vegetation, reef, tenure and water legisation, production and risk management — grounded in decades of on-country experience.
06 Silvo-Pastoral systems
Promote the integration of trees, livestock and improved pastures into grazing systems to improve land productivity, enhance animal welfare, increase carbon sequestration, strengthen biodiversity, and create more resilient and sustainable agricultural enterprises across Northern Australia.
