Project Summary

A bio-industrial platform for global decarbonisation markets

BioEnergy North is developing a large-scale Pongamia biofuel platform in North Queensland to supply traceable, non-food renewable oil for global decarbonisation markets.

Produced under regenerative Australian systems with strong ESG standards, the project targets Sustainable Aviation Fuel, renewable diesel, and industrial bio-oils as a premium, low-risk stockfeed supplier, coupled with carbon capture revenue streams.

The project is currently seeking investment and strategic development support.

Why

Demand for low-carbon fuels is accelerating

Investment is driven by rising global demand for low-carbon fuels, aviation decarbonisation mandates, corporate emissions reduction targets and a structural shift from carbon offsets to carbon insetting.

Low carbon fuel demand

Low-Carbon Fuel Demand

Global Momentum

Rising demand for sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel and other low-carbon fuels is creating a need for reliable renewable feedstocks.

Carbon insetting

Carbon Insetting

Structural Shift

Markets are moving from offset-only approaches toward supply-chain carbon insetting and direct emissions reduction outcomes.

ESG assets

High-Integrity ESG

Investor Focus

Increasing investor focus on high-integrity ESG assets is strengthening market momentum for regenerative production platforms.

How

A staged 10-year rollout

01

Stage 1 Establishment

Establish a 5,000-hectare integrated Pongamia plantation and processing facility in North Queensland.

02

Genetics and Agronomy

Deploy an elite set of high-yielding Pongamia varieties supported by agronomy, infrastructure and early offtake agreements.

03

Integrated Production

Produce renewable oil, stockfeed meal and biomass pellets while capturing soil and tree carbon across the project life.

19.4Mlitres of oil per year
29,000tonnes stockfeed meal per year
30,000tonnes biomass pellets per year
853,900tonnes CO2 equivalents over project life

Competitive Advantage

A next-generation bio-industrial platform

Superior Pongamia Genetics

Proprietary high-yielding Pongamia varieties deliver productivity, oil yield and long-term production advantages, supported by funded research into yield determinants.

Integrated Bio-Industrial Platform

Diversified operations combine plantations, processing, renewable oil, stockfeed meal and biomass pellets to strengthen revenues and resilience.

ESG and Carbon Credentials

Regenerative production systems align with sustainability targets, carbon reduction outcomes and growing ESG investment demand.

Experienced Leadership

Directors bring deep expertise across biofuels, agribusiness, commodities, agronomy and project development, supported by strong commercial networks and more than 18 years of research and varietal selection.

Financial Return

Stage 1 outcomes

$34.6MProjected EBITDA
10.8%Return on capital
5-6 yrsPositive cashflow expected
11 yrsEstimated payback period
$44.1MPositive NPV
12.5%IRR

Additional long-term upside is expected from carbon value contribution, estimated at 5-10% of total project value. With strong fundamentals, established commercial pathways and a staged de-risked rollout, BioEnergy North is positioned to become a cornerstone supplier of renewable oil for global decarbonisation markets.
